ALTO first opened in November 2004, and its fast becoming a popular venue for locals and visitors to the Broadbeach area. Its success stems from the collaborative ideas of experienced restaurateurs and Head Chef. Over two generations, the DiMattina family have accumulated a wealth of knowledge in the hospitality industry. Currently they run three well-known restaurants in Melbourne. They are joined by the Ierna family, who are locals and experienced in restaurants on the Gold Coast.  Head Chef, Gary Martin, is also a local who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. 

The main concept behind the restaurant was captured in its name, which abbreviates “A Little Taste Of”. Alto's Cucina menu offers small tastes for one or big tastes which can be shared with many. The extensive menu also offers unique specialty main meals, as well as weekly specials. Whether it is a formal dine, or just a little taste required, Alto caters for all appetites.

Alto's bar area is a place to gather with friends or to relax on the lounge area, enjoying the music entertainment.
